TrueDR is a 0 to 100 authority score computed independently from DR. It starts from a site's genuine backlink evidence, validates it against real traffic data, and discounts spam, link schemes, and manipulation patterns. DR, by contrast, is a pure backlink metric: it can be inflated by links nobody ever clicks. When a tool's TrueDR sits well below its DR, its authority is thinner than it looks. When TrueDR is higher, the site is stronger than its backlink count suggests. Why is a tool's TrueDR sometimes far below its DR?
DR only counts backlinks. TrueDR checks whether those backlinks are trustworthy and whether real traffic backs them up. A large gap usually means the backlink profile is inflated by low-quality or manipulated links, which is exactly the pattern an SEO tool should not have on its own domain.
